The Challenge

Britain had been placed into a national lockdown and travel restrictions were in place across the country, affecting both domestic and inbound travel. My brief was to keep consumers engaged with the destination and create excitement for future trips once restrictions were eased. 


THE DELIVERY
  • Owned channels, particularly social media, became the core output and engagement tool. Using #YourCheshire, we leveraged this to showcase aspirational destination imagery and provide the latest updates from businesses

  • We targeted hyper-local followers with 'at home' activities, such as take-out and delivery services and home-learning tool-kits

  • In collaboration with local attractions, gardens and stately homes, we delivered virtual tours to provide an online Cheshire experience

  • UK domestic travellers were still getting excited for future trips. Through building suggested itineraries, we were able to capture this audience when the staycation market re-opened.
